Birthday party package questions

Q: What if I have less than 10 children coming to the party?

A: Our party packages are for a minimum of 10 guests. If you have less than 10 guests you will still receive 10 PowerCards. You may use the cards on the day of your party or bring them back to PowerPlay another day, as they do not expire.

Q: What if I have more than 10 children coming to the party?

A: Each party package has a price for additional children:
Deluxe Package ($189.50) – $18.95 per additional child
Ultimate Package ($269.50) - $26.95 per additional child
Big Kahuna Package ($499.50) - $49.95 per additional child

Q: Is the birthday child included in the 10 children?

A: Yes, the package does include the birthday child. (birthday child + 9 guests)

Q: I have more than one birthday child, do I get a PowerPlay t-shirt for each child?

A: Our packages come with one PowerPlay t-shirt. You may purchase additional t-shirts for $10.00 each.

Q: Can I bring my own cake and ice cream?

A: Our packages include 2 large pizzas and an ice cream cake. Our ice cream cake is chocolate cake on top and bottom with vanilla ice cream in the middle topped with white frosting. We also personalize the cake with the birthday child’s name. This cake serves approximately 12-15 guests. If you prefer to bring your own cake and/or ice cream we will provide you with 4 large pizzas. Please call with any additional questions.

Q: What decorations am I allowed to bring?

A: We welcome any decoration item that is not taped or adhered to the walls of the party room. We do not allow confetti.

Let us do the work for you! Feel free to add balloons, a piñata, or a theme to your party with our Themed Party Package Add On!

Q: What if we are late to our party?

A: Your party room is booked for one hour. Unfortunately we are not able to guarantee an extension to your room time. We encourage guests to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your room time to ensure that you will enjoy the full hour you have reserved.

Q: The party packages come with “attractions”; what are “attractions?”

A: Our “Attractions” include the following: Bowling w/ shoe rental, Go-Karts, Mini Golf, Laser Tag, Bumper Cars, Carnival Swing, Rascal Rocket, Tilt-A-Whirl, and Kids Zone. One game or one ride = one attraction.

Q: What is a “Themed Birthday Party?”

A: We offer Themed Birthday Party add-ons. These can be added to any Birthday Party Package for $55.00. Please click here to view your options.

General Questions:

Q: How do Power Cards and credits work?

A: A point/credit is equivalent to 25 cents. Once you put money on your card they are converted to credits. (example: $5.00 = 20 credits) You simply purchase a Power Card for $1.00 and put any amount of money that you would like on the card. You then use the Power Card around the facility to play the games and ride attractions. Your points never expire and you are always welcome to bring your card back to use another day.

If you already have a Power Card you simply bring that card with you and add money to it. Cards are always rechargeable.

Power Cards are non-refundable. This means once you place money on your card, we are unable to refund the dollar amount in cash. If your card is lost we are able to replace the card if you can provide the 6 digit number on the back. We will only replace the amount that was left on the card at the time it was lost.

Q: Where are you located?

A: Our address is 11310 W. 62nd Terrace, Shawnee, KS 66216

We are located on the N.E. corner of Shawnee Mission Parkway and Pflumm in the Millcreek Shopping Center. (next to Hobby Lobby)

Take I-35 South to the Shawnee Mission Parkway exit. Turn right (West). Go about 3 ½ miles and we are on the right side of the street. NE corner of Shawnee Mission Parkway and Pflumm. (Make sure to tell them it is about 7-8 stop lights, so it will seem longer).

Airport/Bonner Springs, anything north/west in Kansas

Take I-435 South to the Shawnee Mission Parkway East exit. Go to your first stop light (about 2 miles down) which is Pflumm. You will see us on the left in front of you. (Turn left and take your immediate right onto the frontage road and we are at the other end of the strip mall from Hobby Lobby).

Olathe, Gardner, anything south in Kansas

Q: I have a group of 20 or more, are there packages available for my group?

A: Yes, we do offer packages for large groups and do require reservations. Please call our Event Coordinator at 913-268-7200 ext. 103

Q: Who can tell me how many points are on my Power Card?

A: Only our cashiers are able to read your card. Please feel free to bring in any Power Card and our staff will be able to assist you.

Q: Do I need to make reservations for bowling?

A: No, reservations are not required to bowl. Games can be played during regular business hours on a first come, first serve basis.

Q: Can I bring in my own cake and/or ice cream if I am not reserving a birthday party package?

A: Sorry, we do not allow outside cake and/or ice cream into the buffet area or any other area at PowerPlay. You are welcome to rent a party room on a first come, first serve basis. Our party rooms are $25.00, $35.00, or $45.00 per hour depending on the size of the room. If you would like to bring ice cream, we will add a hostess to your party to assist in serving for an additional $10.00 per hour.
